Anau

If you’re looking to see a manta ray then Anau is the place to do it. This dive site is protected by the dive companies to ensure no matter what species you observe, they will always feel safe enough to come out and say hello.

Tapu

The slope of this underwater pass was named after the Motu who were used to locate this dive site. If you’re looking for thrills then dive in and meet the large lemon sharks that reside here. Make sure to bring your camera too because they like their photo taken.

Muri Muri

This spot is famous for drift diving. For 40 meters you’ll be able to float across this tongue of white-sand bottoms and its huge field of corals. Here colonies of heterocongres (congrid eels) poke their heads out of the sand to greet you as schools of trevally accompany you on your journey.

Fly from Papeete

FFly Air Tahiti with frequent 50-minute flights from Papeete or Moorea. There are also daily 20-minute flights from Huahine and Raiatea. Air Tahiti also makes regular trips to the Tuamotu atolls with connecting flights to the Marquesas.

Airport transfer

The airport is built on a beautiful reef islet and is accessible only by a short ferry ride from the port village of Vaitape. Private motorboats and shuttles from the airport are operated by most of the luxury resorts.

Helicopter transfer

Reserved guests of Le Taha’a Island Resort & Spa can choose to be transported via helicopter from select hotels and the Bora Bora airport. This should be arranged by your preferred travel company or the resort, directly.
